Checking out internet service providers in my area was not too difficult.  I went online, and compared them side by side with an independent website. I really enjoyed seeing how they were laid out, and how I could compare plans even within the same company side by side.  I like seeing that cost is certainly not an obstacle to speed,  and what speeds are available to me.  I also liked being able to compare costs and how all the added in incentives really help.  Some plans have free modems, others will give you a free month, free installation, or cash back.  To me, this is all part of the true cost, and it seems that many of the faster speeds have more incentives and reasons to sign up!
