PR Newswire reported today an announcement by AT&T internet service that the company now has over five thousand company vehicles on the road which run on alternative fuel. The announcement comes as part of a commitment the company made to be using 15,000 alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) by the end of 2018. The five-thousandth AFV deployed by the company was a CNG van which was deployed in California. The effort is a part of AT&T’s participation in the Clean Fleets Partnership program by the Department of Energy.
