The five-thousandth AFV deployed by the company was a CNG van which was deployed in California. The program itself answers a challenge by President Obama to cut petroleum imports by a third by 2025.

Mobile AT&T Internet Service Rate Increase Not All Bad

January 19th, 2012 by ElizaP in at&t Internet, high speed internet providers, ISP, News

If you’re a wireless AT&T internet service customer, no doubt you’ve already heard about their new pricing for tablet and smartphone customers, announced yesterday. The rate increase’s reasoning is simple; data is expensive, and people are using more than ever. But some are warning not to ditch your subscription yet, as the new pricing actually means that you’ll be getting more data for the money. An example is the company’s $15 per month data plan, which only provided 200MB of data to smartphone customers. The new pricing will only increase by five dollars, but will increase the data allowance to 300MB. Tablet customers will essentially pay $10 per GB of data, such as the 5GB plan for $50. The company also reminded customers that they can stay with their current plan and aren’t required to choose the new packages.

December 22nd, 2011 by Dlife Admin in at&t Internet, high speed internet providers

What is a broadband connection you ask? Broadband internet access, or simply broadband, is an internet connection with much faster connection and transfer rate than standard dial-up modems. The maximum download speed of a broadband connection is exceedingly more than dial-up and will only increase as the technology of broadband continues to improve.  At&t Internet Service promotions include a DSL connection. This is a proven technology that creates ease of use and increased durability.  It would be worth it to look into the promotions that are available in your area.

October 27th, 2011 by ElizaP in at&t Internet, broadband, high speed internet providers, ISP, News

AT&T internet service has joined forces with Harris Public Safety and Professional Communications to develop new wireless solutions to help make the jobs of first responders easier. The next-generation technology is the initial step to develop solutions which can be used by government agencies and responders across all devices, applications and private broadband networks. The provider’s 4G network will provide nationwide interoperability and seamless roaming to agencies outside of the public safety LTE network coverage area. It will also allow for the use of more applications and wireless devices across public safety networks. The reason 4G LTE technology will work well for public safety is due to its faster speeds and lower latency, two crucial factors when mission-critical information, such as the details of a traffic accident is being communicated to first responders en route.
